Biography

Vincent Ardiet is a French singer-songwriter, guitarist who blends modern blues rock and intimate folk. Inspired by Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles, Vincent follows a more modern path, echoing artists like Gary Clark Jr. or John Mayer. A longtime sideman alongside artists like Marco Cinelli (The Cinelli Brothers), he appeared on stage with Manu and Gérard Lanvin. But it was a tour in Iraq that ultimately pushed him to pursue a solo career.

His debut EP Dodge the Blows (2024) — praised by Rock & Folk and Blues Magazine — set the tone: fuzz-driven guitar riffs, psychedelic blues, introspective lyrics and delicate acoustic ballads. The EP was mixed by Cian Riordan (Paul McCartney, Doyle Bramhall II, Ariel Posen, Julian Lage) and mastered by Brian Lucey (The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys). A new album will be released in late 2025, featuring four new songs next to the six from the EP, as a B-side follow-up. This new material leans into a rawer sound, somewhere between blues roots and the grit of The Black Keys, while still holding space for his signature acoustic style. The lyrics explore the weight of memory, trace the tension between holding on and letting go, melancholia and resilience.

Vincent Ardiet never studied music — he studied art, spending nights jamming in Paris, digging into the blues and getting lost in his guitar. He’s an independent voice in today’s blues rock music. He claims his space outside of categories, balancing electric intensity and acoustic nuance.
